I just got Extra Lives: Why Video Games Matter for Christmas and can’t wait to start reading it. I enjoy playing games for the challenge but also like it for a more meditative place that video games put me. Video games allow me to sit alone and think in an almost daydream-like state.

I don’t think I will ever get tired of video games.

Prior to Goodreads, I used to list all my books in spiral-bound notebooks of index cards. I’m not sure why, other than I like to write on index cards. They’re so…sturdy. But maybe I was planning a giant card catalog at some point in my life.
